Communal granary

4-suur-IMG_2839

During the manor period, the communal granary was used for storing the communal grain reserves from where peasants could also borrow grain for seeds and bread, if necessary. The Olustvere School of Service and Rural Economics decided to refurbish the well-preserved typical granite communal granary building (built in 1840 to 1850) into a bakery. It was opened to visitors on 14 April 2011.
