Main building

1-suur_MG_8299

The representative English-style two-storey historicist main building (chateau) was completed around 1903. The building was probably designed by English architect Archibald MacPherson. The English-style vestibule that runs through two storeys is the most stylish room in the building. The so-called count’s office and the big hall are also beautiful.
The building had electricity, central heating and water supply already at the time of construction.
The surroundings of the main building were arranged into a spacious park designed by Riga city gardener Georg Kuphaldt.
The species-rich part is adorned by ponds and the connecting canals and cast-iron bridges, as well as the beautiful perimeter fence.

In the main building, you can attend public events (concerts, plays) and book rooms for holding events (weddings, birthdays, seminars, etc.), with catering upon request. The attic is used for storing a collection of historical furniture collected by Leonhard Vene. Photos of the collection are displayed at the Wood Workshop (the former oxen stables).
